This series was inspired by a fortunate accident. I was creating various forest animals to place between my mosaics in a solo exhibit, just to make the mosaics pop out a bit more. One day, I looked down and realized I had placed one of these forest animals on a sheet of stained glass and I really liked how it looked. I decided to mount it in a frame to see the overall effect and that was the origin of this series!
