What began as a happy accident became one of my favorite collections.

While preparing for a solo exhibit, I created a variety of whimsical forest animals to display between my larger mosaics. Their purpose was simply to add visual interest and help the mosaics stand out. Then one day, I happened to place one of the animals on a sheet of stained glass. The combination immediately caught my eye—the rich colors of the glass transformed the piece in a way I hadn't expected.

Curious to see where the idea might lead, I mounted it in a frame. That simple experiment became the inspiration for the Steampunk Series, where playful woodland creatures meet vibrant stained glass to create artwork that's both imaginative and a little unexpected.
